Livestock Team

Welcome to the Concordia Crusaders Livestock Homepage

Under the leadership of advisor Brandy Elrod since 2015, the Concordia livestock program has consistently been among the front runners at the jackpot and major stock shows. The program focuses on responsibility, sportsmanship, and faith, as well as helping each member reach his or her potential both within and outside of the showring. The purpose of the program is to guide each member as they develop a proficiency in an event that can be shared and enjoyed with family, friends, and community for a lifetime.

Concordia’s program is a year-round program starting when the student purchases the animal. Students can have market or breeding goats for five to ten months. Heifers can last up to a 30 month project.

The Crusaders compete in jackpot and major shows across Texas and the United States. Members are allowed to show cattle: market steers, breeding & commercial heifers and/or market, commercial or registered breeding goats.
