Archery

Welcome to the Concordia Crusaders Archery Homepage

From its beginning in 2018, the Concordia Archery program was among the front runners at the state level in its inaugural year. The program focuses on safety and proper handling of archery equipment, sportsmanship, and faith, as well as helping each member reach his or her potential both within and outside of the shooting sports. The purpose of the program is to guide each member as they develop a proficiency in a sport that can be shared and enjoyed with family, friends, and community for a lifetime.

Concordia’s program is a year-round program starting in September with a review of archery safety. Range practices occur on the Concordia school grounds. The season concludes in April unless a member wishes to attend the 4-H state tournament. Members can compete in up to 10 tournaments a year. Many of the tournaments award scholarships, monetary prizes, and various shooting sports items. The various tournaments give away over $100,000 each year in scholarships and prizes.

The Crusaders compete in 4-H (Compound & Barebow), NASP (Barebow), and Shoot Your Way Across Texas (Compound) events. The events that members compete in are Compound Bow and Barebow (Genesis).
