American Sign Language (ASL Honor Society)
The ASL Honors Society recognizes high school students who demonstrate academic excellence in American Sign Language and a strong commitment to the Deaf community. This prestigious organization celebrates students who not only excel in their ASL coursework but also actively promote awareness, inclusion, and respect for Deaf culture.
Members of the ASL Honors Society participate in community service projects, cultural events, and outreach activities that extend learning beyond the classroom. Through their involvement, students deepen their understanding of ASL and develop the skills needed to become advocates, interpreters, and leaders in the field of Deaf education and accessibility.
The society encourages continued engagement with ASL and supports a lifelong appreciation for the language and its cultural significance.
