Three Crusader Cross Country Runners Participate in Nike South Regional Meet

On Friday, Nov. 20th, a few weeks after the State Cross Country Meet in Waco, three Concordia Crusader cross country runners laced up their shoes one more time in 2021 for the Nike South Regional Championship Race in The Woodlands, TX.

The three runners for Concordia were some of our fastest runners on campus, faced off against some of the top runners from both public and private schools from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Nike hosts x10 regional races each year and in the boys race there were 575 runners and 288 in the girls race.

In the boys race, Will K.(Sr.) finished 84th and Matt K. (Jr.) finished 262nd while Ava Z. (Sr.) finished 93rd in the girls race. The course was difficult, but the Crusaders all had a great effort and showing and for Will and Ava, they enjoyed their last Cross Country meet representing Concordia.
