The National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) recently announced their 2022-2023 Super Regional Baseball Team honorees and Concordia was blessed with four selections!
Central US Super-Region:
- Eoghan Collins ’24 – RHP
- Alex Petrovic ’23 – 3B/1B/RHP
- Cole Lanclos ’25 – 2B
- Connor Jones ’25 - RHP
The Crusaders had a great season as they reached the TAPPS 6A State Final Four for the 9th consecutive season, were District Champions, and had a 33-3 overall record. The team was led by several impactful players including this group of four nominees.
Additionally, Collins was selected as the NCSAA Baseball Large School National Pitcher of the Year! Collins finished his junior year season with a 0.995 ERA, 59 K’s, a 9-1 record, and in 59 1/3 innings pitched, he only walked seven (7) batters.
Concordia’s Athletic Director, Mr. Matt Neidigk ’92 had this to say about Collins: “Eoghan is an amazing young man who helped lead our Crusader Baseball team to the State Final Four, and a National Ranking on MaxPreps. He is an example to all of his teammates on how to play the game the right way and how to be an amazing teammate. His success is well-earned and deserved for one of the hardest working athletes you will ever meet.”
